Nine Bourgois for agnès b.

They wear agnès b., and they talk about it.

Eden, journalist and stylist’s assistant, rue du Vieux-Colombier.

What are you wearing?
I often wear loafers. I have this polka-dot agnès b. skirt that I found at a costume designer’s closet sale almost two years ago. A white tank top, and on top of that, two snap-cardigans. I found the first one at the same sale as the skirt, and the other second-hand online. They were on my list and I eventually tracked them down. I’ve cherished them ever since. The bag is a vintage one that I share with my mother.

How did you put this outfit together?
For me, buttons are like jewelry, I often start from there when I build a silhouette. The two cardigans don’t have the same snaps, and that’s why I like wearing them together. Today it’s as if I were wearing two necklaces (laughs). I like layering pieces. The pattern on this skirt really caught my eye. It’s not something I wear every day, but whenever I put it on, it elevates an outfit. Loafers are kind of my classic.

What is your relationship to agnès b.?
Quite early on, I think as a teenager, by watching the people who wore it, or seeing the brand on my parents’ friends, on kids at summer camp, or at exhibitions I went to with my parents, I understood that it was worn by people with taste, people with a sensitivity to art. That shaped my relationship to the brand.
