Kim Deal "Nobody loves you more" on 4AD

In keeping with Kim Deal meticulous approach to all her projects, the album was honed over several years. The oldest songs, “Are You Mine?” and “Wish I Was,” were written and recorded in 2011, shortly after she left the Pixies and moved to Los Angeles (early versions of these songs were included on the vinyl series); Nobody Loves You More was last recorded in November 2022 with legendary engineer and close friend the late Steve Albini at his Electrical Audio studio in Chicago. Along the way, she brought in a variety of collaborators, from Breeders past and present (Mando Lopez, her twin sister Kelley Deal, Jim Macpherson, Britt Walford) to Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub), Jack Lawrence (Raconteurs), and Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan (Savages). Nobody Loves You More was mixed by Marta Salogni and mastered by Heba Kadry.

"Haut la vache" is a sound exploration album, the testimony of a twilight contemplation and incidentally the second field recording album by collectif_sin~. Originally from La Hague near Cherbourg and based in Rennes for 7 years, Héron Cendré shapes a poetic world where modular synth sounds, field recordings gleaned from schools and other minimalist lo-fi oddities blend together. The album 3-4 is the perfect illustration of this. It is "a feat of purity, minimal, chaotic, sacred, cosmic, tender, all at once and more, between film music and spatial signal, a new language all by itself" (Gonzaï).
