On July 19th, the TPS left Lorient, its home port, bound for its very first scientific expedition: Tara Polaris I. An adventure close to our hearts, as Agnès is the ship's godmother and co-founder of the Fondation Tara Océan alongside Etienne Bourgois.

We went on board before its departure to document the station in pictures: its living and working spaces designed for five months of polar night, its technical equipment, the details of an architecture built to withstand extreme cold.
