MONT LOSER, "Confessional" on Geographie records

Friday, May 8, 2026 - 5PM

Finally, a band that lives up to its name.

A deformed creature emerging from the depths of the Parisian night. Part kamikaze, part bat drunk on tainted blood, MONT LOSER invites you to throw yourself into the void of a rock that seems to be dying forever. Forging its own path as if the outside world no longer existed, the Parisian trio has gathered up the dregs of grunge, noise rock, and goth to distance itself with an intoxicated grace from the hordes of marketed bands aiming to rekindle some kind of nostalgia. Chicago, Seattle, Belleville? 1980, 1991, or 2025? The time machine is broken, phone screens are shattered, the curtains are drawn—nothing could be more fitting for a band formed during a post-COVID after-party.

Two dissonant guitars locked in a battle of wits, drums oscillating between punk metronome and post-hardcore aggression, all carried by a mournful, raspy 60s-style vocal performance.

Frenzied and paranoid, this debut album, aptly titled Confessional, recorded with Jacky Cadiou (Syndrome 81), is a veritable collection of riotous love songs. A chaotic frenzy at your fingertips that makes you want to follow MONT LOSER into their sometimes gentle, often bitter, and consistently destructive madness.
