La Fab. presents the work of the iconic New York graffiti artist in a retrospective gathering over 60 major works.

“Agnès b. always believed in me—she helped me move beyond the graffiti scene and express myself elsewhere, in a more open space. She has always had this ability to see art above all, without prejudice.” Since 1984, Futura2000 has been part of the agnès b. universe. She was one of the first to recognize the genius of this emblematic figure of New York graffiti. Their meeting in the late 1980s marked a turning point in Futura’s career: thanks to agnès, he exhibited in a gallery for the first time in France, at the Galerie du Jour, in 1989. Their artistic and personal bond has remained strong. To agnès b., Futura is much more than a graffiti artist: “a living legend, a god to all graffiti writers,” while he himself emphasizes how much her support allowed him to move beyond the strict confines of graffiti to explore new artistic territories, especially in France.

Since April 25, 2025, La Fab. has been dedicating a major retrospective to him, showcasing more than 60 works from 1984 to today. The exhibition highlights the evolution of an artist in constant transformation—one who moved from the streets of New York to major institutions without ever losing his visual power or sense of purpose. Police violence, racism, the oppression of minorities… Futura addresses powerful themes through a unique graphic language that blends abstraction, design, and urban culture. His collaborations with brands like Nike and Off-White also speak to his lasting influence on contemporary aesthetics.
