Then a Saturday in 1982, taking the RER train from Versailles (Rive droite / Montreuil) to La Defense then Les Halles, going rue du jour and buying a black trouser with dark knitwear, while trying to look like Robert Smith in a Bernard Sumner attitude.

How would you describe the spirit of Tokyo? For me the twin city of Versailles. Quiet, relaxing, very zen and omote nashi is all around. Endless hidden places. Each ward / area has its own spirit: Harajuku (Japanese street culture birthplace), Sumida (Perfect days), Shibuya (#shibuyaga), Shinjuku (Golden Gai), Ginza (Godzilla), Kamakura (Ozu), Meguro (Sakura), Shimokita (vintage)… A city where you could take a picture every single minute, anywhere you are.

A dream? A month at the north pole on the TARA Polar Station.
