Yak fibers are known for their softness and warmth, while alpaca adds fineness, softness, and extra smoothness. This unique blend gives the yarn a fluffy, silky appearance, ensuring optimal comfort even when worn next to the skin. These fleeces have remarkable insulating and thermoregulatory properties thanks to the structure of their hollow fibers, ensuring optimal body heat retention and constant thermal comfort. In addition, this material has the unique feature of becoming softer after each wash. As with all precious wools, the use of fabric softeners should be avoided in order to preserve its qualities.
Alpaca fleece is distinguished by its natural richness, offering a palette of 23 colors. For yak wool, we have a range of shades from black to brown, sometimes with subtle shades of gray, with white hair being the most sought after due to its rarity. This chromatic diversity has a considerable ecological advantage as it avoids the need for artificial dyeing, thus reducing the environmental impact of its production.
