The story of this record starts 3 years ago... after two 7 inches applaused by the blogosphere, and reknown underground critics like Jay Hinman, Doug Mosurak and Byron Coley... Cheveu is invited at the Big convention of « garage rock » in Memphis, Gonerfest in 2006, headlining the party with the likes of Jay reatard(final solutions), Jack Oblivian or viva l'american death ray...in the middle of a 3 weeks tour. Kevin « Pink Reason » then says he's seen one of the best shows of his life.

9 months later they come back on the west coast on a tour setted up by DJ rick (noise/expé Honzo) with the great band Tyvek...playing with the A frames, the intelligence or eat skulls (s-s records releases a Cheveu/Tyvek 7 split for the tour).

Then trying to pull together 3 years of attempted tracks, home recorded, remixed, CHEVEU releases its first LP in March 2008, defending it during a 2 weeks tour, playing with Tyvek, TV ghost, psychedelic horseshit, los llamarada (another s-s records find) and Half-japanese veterans (WFMU 50th anniversary).
