In 1977, agnès b. met a manufacturer of rugby shirts. Rugby shirts are typically made by cutting thick striped cotton fabric. However, agnès b. decided to dye the fabric a unique color and came up with the idea of creating a collarless T-shirt. This T-shirt quickly became one of the iconic pieces of agnès b. style, and has continued to appear in collections ever since. Striped T-shirts are available in various styles, including long sleeves, short sleeves, thin stripes (12 x 12mm), and thick stripes (60 x 60mm).
