“j'aime Versailles (j'y suis née)” Exhibition at the Chaillot Shop, Paris

Agnès’ photographs of the Château de Versailles, from September 9 to October 17.

The Chaillot boutique presents a selection of photographs dedicated to the Château de Versailles and its gardens. A place Agnès knows by heart, having wandered its grounds throughout her childhood.

Raised just beyond the walls of the Château, as a teenager she read Saint-Simon, the Palatine, Mme de Sévigné... Figures who made Versailles far more than a childhood backdrop: a lasting attachment to this place and its history.

"I was born and raised in Versailles, right next to the château and its park, along the Place d'Armes, which I crossed every day on my way to and from school."

From this bond, she draws inspiration for her work, without nostalgia or reenactment: the volume of a skirt, Trianon grey, the line of a neckline are reinterpreted with a contemporary stroke of the pencil.
