When Agnès' treasures become jewelry

When Agnès' treasures become jewelry
@ ALIOCHA BOI

Photographer Aliocha Boi brings to life the unique jewellery pieces found by Agnès.

Since 2022, designer Constance Maure has been creating one-of-a-kind jewellery for agnès b., made from little treasures collected by Agnès herself: seashells, pieces of porcelain, stones, leaves… Simple objects she fondly calls her “pretty found objects.”

In her Paris workshop, Constance imagines, sculpts, solders, and sets each piece by hand, reusing brass and bronze. All the artisans involved (caster, gilder…) are local, and the approach is resolutely artisanal. These pieces are offered in small series, available only in-store during discreet sales: rue du Jour in Paris, Versailles, Covent Garden in London, Kyoto, and Cannes. Each creation awakens memories for clients, who sometimes recognise their own long-forgotten objects in them.

To tell the story of this collection in a different way, photographer Aliocha Boi captured a series of images taken between Montreal and the Gaspé Peninsula. Seasonal fruit, local oysters, market gloves… the pretty found objects are delicately staged by set designer Lina Brandt in a raw, organic setting, perfectly in tune with Agnès’s world.

Jewellery like fragments of history, to be worn close to the heart.
