"Life on Mars" by street artist Britt

Exhibition at the agnès b. Lyon store, on view until October 17th, opening night on Thursday, September 17th.

Trained as a decorative painter, she has been taking over urban space since 2019 through a figure that has become her signature: a little girl inspired by a photograph by Vivian Maier. Silent yet expressive, she moves through walls, torn posters and fragments of the city like a fragile, resilient presence.

"Pasting poetry onto the cracks of the world." — Britt

Ecology, feminism, childhood, memory, freedom… Through this figure, Britt questions our times. Street collages, canvas paintings, screen prints and antique frames come together in a world where poetry and engagement coexist, between pop culture and collective memory.
