5 Days in Moscow in 1987
Photo exhibition by Agnès, from October 29 to November 13
From October 29 to November 13, Maison agnès b. hosts the exhibition "5 Days in Moscow in 1987," presented as part of Photo Days.
Since 2020, Photo Days has given carte blanche to French and international artists and offers a photographic trail across Paris and its region. Patron of the 2026 edition, agnès b. has chosen a selection of photographs by other artists to discover along the trail: discover agnès b.’s selection. She also takes part as a photographer, with an exhibition of her own images presented on the premises of the house.
In 1987, she travelled to Moscow for five days, then the capital of the Soviet Union, with Philippe Trétiack, journalist and writer for ELLE magazine. Their mission: to discover new fashions, new styles and new tastes, in a country she knew almost nothing about.
With her film Nikon, she photographs for herself what she comes across: silent crowds, vast open spaces, children held close to their parents…
In black and white as well as in color, these photographs came about almost spontaneously, alongside the ELLE report. Moscow in 1987 appears in them, a few years before the disappearance of the Soviet Union, through ordinary scenes, encounters and details that surprised, amused or moved Agnès.
Exhibition from October 29 to November 13, 2026
Open Monday to Friday, 10 am to 7 pm
