What are you wearing?
Beige chino pants in a thick, rather baggy fabric, a snap-button agnès b. cardigan I bought a year ago, loafers, an agnès b. mac coat, and an agnès b. scarf.

How did you put this look together?
I get around by bike. I like wearing a scarf—it’s both elegant and practical. Big scarves can feel suffocating, but this is softer. If it's silk, the thermoregulating effect is useful too. I wear a mac, which has a nice drape. I like to be able to layer under a coat. If it's windy or drizzling, like it sometimes is these days, I wear it over a jacket, a sweater, or a cardigan... If I get warm during the day, I can just remove a layer. I like my clothes to be fairly loose and comfortable, with real structure—I’m not into overly flowy garments.

What’s your connection to agnès b.?
When I was 18, I was the rebel in the family, with a grunge style and Dr. Martens on my feet—I’d get scolded at family events. The compromise was an agnès b. work jacket and a super cool pair of white trousers. It worked as a suit, but not too formal. I wore it a lot—it felt sharp without being stiff. In the 2000s, I wore a lot of agnès b. snap-button cardigans and Breton shirts. I also bought some artist-designed T-shirts. I’ve just had a daughter, and I rediscovered the snap-button cardigan—for her and for me. I love the boxy, cropped fit—it’s so comfortable.
