The Galerie du Jour exhibition continues in the Parisian boutique.
Jonas Mekas is an old friend of Agnès. Agnès has supported his work since they met in 1992, when he exhibited at the Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume. Their artistic complicity spans three decades, punctuated by several major exhibitions at Galerie du Jour. The latest, Memories of Jonas Mekas, was on view from September 12 to October 20. Through a number of iconic series, including phonograms from his 16mm films, Memories of Jonas Mekas allowed visitors to discover or rediscover the intimate and powerful work of this great 20th-century poet, lover of cinema, art and life, who passed away in 2019. The exhibition will be on display at the La Poste Chaillot boutique in Paris until February 2025.
